Health and the Pursuit of Happiness

Health. The word gets thrown around a lot these days. Probably because Americans are in big trouble. We eat poorly, lead sedentary lifestyles and think chronic stress is normal.

What does the term "health" encompass?

I work to change that type of attitude in people and motivate them to become aware. I want them to be aware of what nutrition their body is absorbing (if any). I want them to be aware of the day-to-day choices they make about all dimensions of health. Only YOU have the power to make beneficial changes for yourself and I’ll tell you what, it is not as hard or expensive as you may think. No more excuses, carpe diem!

Were you aware that health is multidimensional? Humans require an array of circumstances and experiences to operate optimally. In fact, there are 7 dimensions of health and wellness: social, emotional, physical, spiritual, intellectual, environmental and occupational. In my opinion, people have become too ambivalent to fulfill their inherent needs that makeup one's complete wellness.

Let this post be a brief yet important reminder to take care of yourself. Self-care is not self-ish, unnecessary, it is a lifestyle and an investment in tomorrow's you. You deserve to be healthy and well looked after!

Happy healing,

Brianna
